Connected Weaning Guide for Toddlers:

A Gentle Path Beyond Breastfeeding

A supportive 48-page ebook for mothers who are ready to begin weaning with more confidence, connection, and calm.

Weaning does not have to feel abrupt, confusing, or harsh. This guide offers a gentle, emotionally attuned path for transitioning beyond breastfeeding while protecting the bond you have built with your child.

Inside, you’ll find practical steps, comforting language, nervous-system support, and simple routines to help you and your toddler move through this transition together.

Why I Wrote This Guide

When it came time to begin weaning my own children, I found myself caught between two extremes. Much of the advice I encountered either encouraged waiting indefinitely for child-led weaning or taking a more abrupt approach that didn’t feel aligned with the relationship I had built with my child.

I wanted a path that honored both the needs of the child and the needs of the mother.

A path that recognized that breastfeeding is about far more than nutrition. It is comfort, connection, regulation, reassurance, and attachment. Ending that relationship is often an emotional transition for both mother and child.

As a mother, certified yoga teacher, and postpartum bodyworker with a special interest in nervous system regulation, I wanted to approach weaning in the same way I approach many aspects of parenting: gently, intentionally, and with compassion.

This guide was created from my own experience navigating toddler weaning, along with years of studying child development, attachment, nervous system regulation, and responsive caregiving. It is the resource I wished I had when I was looking for practical guidance that felt both loving and realistic.

My hope is that this guide helps you move through weaning with greater confidence, less guilt, and a deeper trust in your ability to lead your child through change while preserving the connection you both cherish.
